One great way to get a ton of traffic to your websites is to build a link wheel. These link wheels build backlinks to your website’s main page, which give your website a higher search engine ranking.
Two days ago i have developed my first link wheel to check is link wheel really work or not. I have not seen any result yet, i think i should wait more for result. I have read lot of place that link wheel is new technology to get one way link.
Considered the following tips (some one give me on digitalpoint) before building a link wheel:
- Make sure that you have unique content on each spoke.
- Do not mention or promote your target site directly.
- Websites you are using for link wheel must be dofollow
- Link each spokes only to your target , and not to other spokes.
- Put the link in content, in an article that is of the same niche as your target site.
- do not have any other outbound links on the spoke other than to your target site.
- Promote each spoke by acquiring quality, relevant backlinks to them from pages with strong pagerank and few outbound links.
Now here is the method to build a simple link wheel of 6 websites. you can expend as much as you can. I have used 9 websites for my link wheel:
Step 1
Write a Squidoo lens about your website topic. Then put a link in your Squidoo lens back to your website. You can open an account at Squidoo by clicking on the link in the resources section of this article.Step 2
Write an article about your topic and submit it to any of the online article directories. You can use GoArticles or Ezinearticles or any of the other many article directories online. Include a link back to your Squidoo lens in your article or resource box.Step 3
Create a Hubpage about your topic and link it back to the article that you wrote in step 2. You can open a Hubpages account by clicking on the link in the resources section.Step 4
Create a Google Knol about your topic and include a link back to your Hubpage.Step 5
Make a one page Blogger blog and link it back to your Google Knol. You can actually use the same Blogger blog to place links for many different link wheels.Step 6
At this point you can either choose to leave the wheel as it is, and leave it “open” or you can close the wheel by linking your website back to your Blogger blog. Either way, you will see your website rise in the search engines over the next week or two.
now your simple link wheel is ready, to make it more reliable and strong, just do social bookmarking for each of link you make on different websites like Knol, hubpage etc. Not only social bookmarking but you can use directory submition as well
